About Me

Hi, I’m Jen — the designer, maker, mathematician, and yarn enthusiast behind Violet Loops. I’m so grateful you’re here.

Violet Loops began in the most natural way: with yarn, curiosity, and a desire to make my home feel cozy and personal. I started by designing crochet accessories and home décor pieces for my own space. But it didn’t take long before I caught the garment-design bug, and soon I found myself dreaming up sweaters, scarves, and wearable pieces full of texture and movement.

In 2021, I learned Tunisian crochet, and everything clicked. I fell in love with the textures I could create — soft, drapey fabrics without the “knot” look of traditional crochet. It felt like unlocking a whole new world of stitch possibilities, and before long, Tunisian crochet became my favorite craft. Then in 2024, I picked up knitting — another creative adventure that quickly turned into pattern design. Now, I design in three crafts: crochet, Tunisian crochet, and knitting, often exploring how one idea can come to life in different stitches and structures across them all.
Whether I’m sketching a new design, experimenting with yarn, or swatching a new stitch to get just the right texture, my goal is always the same: create intentional, joyful designs that highlight the beauty of the yarn and make you excited to pick up your project again and again.

Thank you for being here, for supporting handmade design, and for bringing these stitches to life through your talent and creativity. I hope Violet Loops inspires you to explore texture, play with color, and find joy in every loop.
Happy making,
Jen
