Metamorphic Cowl
The Metamorphic Cowl is a Tunisian crochet pattern worked in the round and thoughtfully designed to highlight the magic of assigned pooling yarn. Shifts in color form deliberate bursts of texture, allowing the yarn to create bold, organic patterning that makes every cowl one of a kind.
This intermediate level design features steady, repeatable stitches that keep the focus on the color changes while creating a fluid fabric with beautiful drape. It works beautifully with two skeins of assigned pooling yarn or paired with a coordinating tonal for the return pass. The Metamorphic Cowl is a modern accessory that truly lets assigned pooling yarn take center stage.

Tonal RetP Version
Note: This version currently is not pictured. But to see how the assigned pooling could look for this version check out the Metamorphic Scarf.
To achieve use one to two skeins of assigned pooling for the forward pass and one skein of a coordinating tonal for the return pass. Note: If you choose to only use one skein of assigned pooling yarn for the forward pass, the cowl might end up short. The length of the finished cowl varies based on the length of the assigned pooling color in the yarn. If you choose this option, I suggest buying two skeins of the assigned pooling.
